In the room where I sleep … my thoughts overflow.

Welcome to the Music Revolution!!

Today’s agenda is about the artists and their expression through their music, in particularly their music videos.

I personally love the artist’s attempt to push the envelope. I love their desire to express themselves and how they interpret things.

Sadly, we live in a Rapture believing world (couldn’t help myself lol) and most crazed people (Christians, Republicans, etc etc) try to censor everything!

Then they ban the song, the music video, and the artist.  Some people just don’t get art or they don’t understand what people are trying to say.

And even if an artist is not saying anything… I think we should still be able to listen.

Here is an example. Bjork! She is freaking weird, at least in my book. But I also respect her and consider her very artsy.

Here is a video of hers that was banned from MTV.

Cocoon-Bjork

Bjork has always been a master in shock value. Obviously the video was banned on MTV because she is totally nude in this video with red Twizzlers coming out of her nipples.  Her suggestive lyrics don’t help her case … however I think they are pretty.

Its like pretty porn. Here is a sample of her lyrics to get what I am talking about.

“”A train of pearls, cabin by cabin, is shot precisely across an ocean from a mouth of a girl like me/To a boy”

Bjork will forever be too out there for me and now she kinda made me feel weird about Twizzlers. Nevertheless I love this song and this video is awesome!

I really really don’t understand why this video was banned. The only good thing about this song and music video is the hot singer… yeah that’s about it.

Rock DJ-Robbie Williams

This video was censored in the UK and banned in the Dominican Republic with allegations of Satanism.

Are you effin me?!?! First off the song is alright, and the video is unique but it’s not disturbing! Some people and their weak ass stomachs! What people should be outraged at is the fact that we didn’t get a penis shot till after the skin was pulled off!

Consider this a free anatomy lesson! Robbie says you’re welcome!

You know what era was pretty crazy?

The 80’s!  Totally!

Girls on Film- Duran Duran

Oh yeah!

This video, when it came out, was banned by BBC and was heavily edited by MTV.

So the women are topless! I am too when I am not wearing a shirt!!

So the women are topless AND wrestling in mud!  Thats a daily thing for me! Everytime I throw it down with a chick I always make sure a nice mud patch is near by.

Seriously MTV, UK, and America! They are just boobs!

Banned Music Videos are the shit!

Add the FCC to that list of boobs.

Some woman’s group got their grandma panties in a twist back in the 80’s and decided that little Mary Jane shouldn’t watch anything but Tiffany videos and Elton John.
And that Duran Duran video is TAME compared to some from that era. Like some of Madonna’s were more explicit!

  2. Love the theme this week! I have a deep and undying love for Robbie Williams. 😉
